So, I’ve decided to take my own advice and start making things myself, hopefully taking some small steps towards the edge of the box that is the system.

Recently I’d advised all to start making bread… So that’s where I started. Making bread is like making love, if you try too hard you won’t enjoy it, and the end result will be rather embarrassing. I wanted to make a pure, yeast free, gluten free, seed loaded organic country loaf. My first attempt wasn’t actually all that bad. I got a basic yeast free recipe, modified it slightly with some ground seeds and oregano. If you don’t have a coffee bean grinder, I’d strongly advise getting one. Very cheap and there’s so many things you can turn into a fine powder. Anyway, my ‘country style’ loaf was… edible. But only by me. The female members of my family looked upon it with disdain, gave it a short sniff and steered well clear. I did hear some giggling from another room but I’m sure they weren’t laughing about my bread. In the end I gave in to their suggestions. Keep it simple, stupid. Ego slightly bruised, I attempted something more basic…. but then…. After disasters 2, 3 and 4, and much more mocking and amusement at my expense, I was about to throw in the towel. What was I doing wrong?

Millet Flour.

Finally, I searched for some recipes that were actually designed for millet flour. And there I discovered my problem. Millet bread is the most basic, simple bread to make in the world. I had used baking soda, sea salt, olive oil, seeds…. when all I needed to do was add water to the millet flour in equal quantities.

Hopefully there’s a home run looming. I have to buy some more millet flour first.

Free Electricity?

Anyone ever heard of the Peltier effect? Ever seen a peltier module?

These little bad boys are amazing.

If you run electricity through them, they pump heat from one side to the other. Meaning one side gets very cold and the other side gets very hot. The down side being that the heat pumped out needs to go somewhere. And fast. They may look small and innocent, but trust me, these things can pump VAST amounts of heat very quickly. Just ask my burnt fingers. For my initial tinkering and experimentation I had chosen a flat, square copper plate to use as a make-do heat sink. This was not such a good idea. If you really want to get the best out of these things you have to use a proper heat sink (or two). Not forgetting lots of thermal paste. I actually discovered peltier modules a few years ago, but just never managed to find the time to play around with them. Would you believe that I could discover a potential conspiracy theory whilst playing with little square plastic heat pumps?

Hmmm. Guessing that wouldn’t be a huge shock then?

When I discovered the modules, like I say some years ago, there was all kinds of information about them all over the internet. Thousands of videos, pdf documents, ebay listings galore. And so I was rather shocked to find that these days there is……………

It’s ALL GONE !!!!!! Really!!!! Everything!!!!!

The videos the pdf docs, it’s all disappeared!

Don’t believe me?

How on earth would I know what a peltier stack is? (One of my experiments this week was to stack some peltiers, put heat paste in between each, the bottom module’s negative wire becoming the main negative of the stack and the positive wire of the top module becoming the main positive, with all modules in between connected negative to positive. Otherwise known as: A Peltier Stack)

I remember seeing used stacks of ten modules listed on ebay and countless documents and webpages explaining how to make your own. How else would I know how to do that? My burnt fingers were a product of underestimating just how much heat these things can pump when used in a stack. The point being that if you connect a stack to a battery and keep one side of the stack hot and the other cold, you can generate lots of free electricity. (Providing you use a free source of heat. For example, a rather large ball of red hot burning gases that your planet regularly rotates around).

Yes, I don’t usually use google, but for this I will

Google search: “peltier stack”

Okay, so there’s a few bits and bobs regarding cooling microprocessors and some nonsense about cortical blood flow, whatever that means. But in terms of the real magic of peltier modules, which is by far their potential for turning heat into electricity, there’s absolutely nothing worth a click. Try and see if you can find instructions on how to put a peltier stack together. I’m completely at a loss here trying to work out exactly what happened. Maybe I’m not searching hard enough? Possible, but like I say, I am positive that I was able to find all kinds of diagrams, pictures etc concerning the stacks, just a few years ago.

Where did all the good stuff go? Where did all the brilliant youtube vids go?

I do know that some of my facebook truthy buddies have been frantically ranting on about SOPA this week. Something about pending internet censorship that will be so bad that only William Gates III himself will be able to post an update on facebook or twitter. I haven’t had time to look into all this yet myself, but somewhere in the dark corners of my mind I seem to recall some similar kerfuffling on the Alex Jones show a few years ago. Something about Internet2?

I remember Jones, with his usual manic shout rant blood boiling voice, “Internet2 people!! This is it!! There gonna take over the internet and you won’t even be able to jack off over your favourite porn site anymore!!!”

As I’ve said many, many times on this blog. I stay away from google as much as I can. Not because I’m worried about my IP address being logged, or my search data being sold on for market profiling etc. No, the reason I try not to use it is that it’s obvious to me that untouchable monopolies are not safe in any industry. How the hell have we gotten to the point that THE WHOLE WORLD is using just ONE search engine? Whatever happened to the days when all we used to hear about was ‘anti trust lawsuit’ this and ‘monopolies and mergers commission’ that?

Whatever happened, I’ve got a long road ahead with these peltier modules. Not to mention a steep learning curve and burnt fingers. If anyone else out there has experienced ‘net Bermuda triangle syndrome’ or ‘netBites’ as I’ve just decided to call it, please let me know.

Goodnight.

On the 24th of October last year the world hardly blinked as we reached 66 whole years of world government. The mainstream media downplay it’s existence. The so called truth movement are convinced it’s inevitable, and that the ‘NWO’ will bring not just a one world government but the added bonus of any of the following;

Aliens

WW3

Some kind of religious apocalypse

Reptilian world takeover

Some other satanic brouhaha

All this, despite the fact that we ALREADY have a world government and have done so for the past 66 years! What am I missing here? The few hundred readers of this blog may recall my heavily sarcastic look at Wikipedia and the BBC’s nonsensical doctrines on the nuances of global governance. I feel that the point of that entry was missed by most. Here I shall attempt a much clearer synopsis.

I feel it always adds a sense of irony to start with Wikipedia. As I did in my original post concerning ‘one world government’. Let’s have a look at a map showing the member nations of the UN: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:United_Nations_Members.svg

There are currently 193 member states, including every internationally recognised sovereign state in the world but the Vatican City.

Next. As I breath a tiresome sigh…. Let’s go and ask, one final time, if we have a one world government. And before we get entangled in pointless bullshit surrounding terminology etc, by one world government I mean:

government

noun

1. the political direction and control exercised over the actionsof the members, citizens,

world

noun

1. the earth or globe, considered as a planet.

2. the earth or a part of it, with its inhabitants, affairs, etc.

3. humankind; the human race; humanity.

Do I need to be any clearer? A government of the world. Not to be confused with any bullshit political speak tomfoolery, ie “no but there’s a difference between global governance and blah blah blah”. Fuck that. I’m talking about a WORLD GOVERNMENT. Nothing more, nothing less.

Let’s begin…

As per my last post on this subject, I’ll just point out that as far as all ‘official’ parties are concerned, referring to the UN as a world governing body is fine, unless any sinister connotations are mentioned. As soon as that happens the lunatic fringe fruitbat stick is wielded with overwhelming speed and offending culprits bashed into conspiracy theorist corner, dunce hat included free of charge.

Hence the overly pedantic clarification of terms. If you haven’t realised by now, the people that control our world spend millions on making sure we are baffled into apathy, by using all manner of jargon and news speak specifically designed to confuse and bamboozle.

What is the remit of government?

Let’s stick with the basics for now.

To protect us

Make economic decisions

Provide public services

Maintain social order

Ok, just ask yourself for one second, before I start; Have you ever heard of the United Nations mentioned in the context of protection of people?

Before I even type G for google, (which I wont because I don’t use google) I can think of so many examples my brain hurts. But let’s just prove the point by using the best possible examples:

The following is the text of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message for the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, observed on 29 May:

The tragedies that have befallen United Nations peacekeepers already this year are a sobering reminder of the risks entailed in their important work for peace. As we mark the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, we pay tribute to the more than 120,000 military, police and civilians serving worldwide under the blue flag and remember those who lost their lives in the cause of peace. http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2011/sgsm13574.doc.htm

Ok. So we’ve got protection in the bag. No? Let’s take one more:

The United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR), was the first United Nations peacekeeping force in Croatia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina during theYugoslav wars.
The UNPROFOR was composed of nearly 39,000 personnel, 320 of whom were killed on duty.

From 39,000 troops in 1992 to 120,000 in 2011. The ‘international organisation’ seems to have slightly more manpower than most non governmental organisations. Funny that.

Let’s move on to economic decisions.

Statistical Commission
Fortieth session
24-27 February 2009

Items for information: follow-up to Economic and
Social Council policy decisions

Action requested by the Economic and Social Council
1. In its resolution 2008/29 on the role of the Economic and Social Council in the
integrated and coordinated implementation of the outcomes of and follow-up to
major United Nations conferences and summits, in the light of relevant General
Assembly resolutions, including resolution 61/16 (E/2008/L.29 and E/2008/SR.43),
the Economic and Social Council reaffirmed the need to continue to strengthen the
Council as the central mechanism for system-wide coordination and thus promote
the integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of
the major United Nations conferences in the economic, social and related fields, in
accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and relevant Assembly
resolutions, in particular resolutions 50/227, 57/270B and 61/16.

http://unstats.un.org/unsd/statcom/doc09/2009-26-ECOSOCDecisions-E.pdf

What does that mean?

To answer that question we need to look at resolution 50/227 first.

Annex I

There is an urgent need to strive for the fulfilment of the agreed
target of 0.7 per cent of gross national product for official development
assistance as soon as possible. http://www.undemocracy.com/A-RES-50-227.pdf

Did you know that your country has been giving 0.7 of its entire GDP to some do gooding fund? Sorry, Official Development Assistance? Hmmm, did you see the usual barrage of chugger charity adverts on tv this Christmas? The usual pictures of starving children in Africa somewhere? This ODA bollocks has been going since 1970, with greater expansion in 2002. I don’t even need to do the maths on this one to tell you that 0.7% from just one country is a fuckload of money. Anyways, I leave the rights and wrongs of UN economic policies for you to decipher in your own time. Nice to know that the world government has been pissing our money up the wall for over three decades.

“Yes, but what about the poor starving children?”

Why don’t you ask BP, or the UN, where the money from the ODA actually ends up being spent. And who decides what it is spent on. When you’re done reading page upon page of praise for the ODA, ask yourself why, if it’s so successful, are you still seeing walking talking skeletons in between parts 1 and 2 of your favourite soap.

In any case, whether you agree or disagree with the ODA, we have economic decisions in the bag. Onwards!

Public services and social order.

I’ll try and take these two down in one go, as I’m sure most readers with brain engaged will be getting the point already.

50/81. World Programme of Action for Youth to the
Year 2000 and Beyond
The General Assembly,

Recognizing that young people in all countries are both a major human
resource for development and key agents for social change, economic
development and technological innovation,

Bearing in mind that the ways in which the challenges and potentials of
young people are addressed by policy will influence current social and
economic conditions and the well-being and livelihood of future generations,

Acknowledging that young women and men in all parts of the world aspire
to full participation in the life of society,

Recognizing that the decade since the observance of International Youth
Year: Participation, Development and Peace has been a period of fundamental
political, economic and socio-cultural change in the world,

Acknowledging the contribution that non-governmental youth organizations
could make in improving dialogue and consultations with the United Nations
system on the situation of youth,

Recalling its resolution 45/103 of 14 December 1990, in which it
requested the Secretary-General to prepare a draft world youth programme of
action towards the year 2000 and beyond,

Recalling also its resolution 49/152 of 23 December 1994 on the
International Youth Year, in which it requested the Commission for Social
Development at its thirty-fourth session to consider further the draft world
programme of action for youth towards the year 2000 and beyond.

http://www.unyouth.com/images/documents/50-81.pdf

Wait, I hear you ask:

“yes, yes, yes, this is all well and good but these UN resolutions don’t mean anything to me, they don’t affect me, maybe kids in Africa but not me”

Well, if that’s the case then how can it be that these so called meaningless resolutions take troops directly from your countries army, and funds directly from the pockets of your countries people?

The UN resolution quoted above specifically states “young people in all countries“.

What did the dictionary say defines government?

the political direction and control exercised over the actionsof the members,

citizens, or inhabitants of communities, societies, and states; direction of the affairs of a state, community, etc.

The decisions made by the UN directly affect every man, woman and child on this planet. From education to economic policy to trade and transport to you name them. That’s a world government boys and girls. All singing, all dancing, all powerful one world government.

Common man on the street: “Nah!! One world government? That’s just a conspiracy theory”

Wrong!

Conspiracy theorist: “One world government? Oh my god yes! It’s the New World Order don’t you know. They are planning to implement the one world government right after world war three! With aliens and reptiles and sacrificial virgins and…”

Wrong again!

If the UN tells your country it must do X, Y or Z, does your country do it?

If you peel away the political & news speak jargonballs, the answer is a wholehearted 100% yes with extra fries and milkshake.

The real question people should be asking is “who controls the UN?”

The answer to that question is the easier than a four piece children’s jigsaw. And it looks something like this:

And who is above all of that lot?

The bank of banks… The elite bankers bank of choice:

”ok, ok. So what can little old me possibly do to defeat globally organised skulduggery and subversion?”

That’s like asking a five year old how to build a sand castle!

Step one: Go to the bank(s) where you keep your money.

Step two: Withdraw all funds from said banks.

Step three: Never put it back.

Step four: Find alternative monetary storage medium. Buy a safe. Buy precious metals. Keep cash and precious metals in your safe. Use as when necessary.

That’s it!

No money for banks equals no more fractional reserve scam bollocks. An end to fractional reserve would mean the start of the end of the foundations of the machine that fucks us over, even as we sleep.

There’s only one tiny catch. The above mentioned four steps would only work if we all did them together. Together we are more powerful than any corrupt banking cartel. Tucked up in separate boxes of class, race, political affiliations, religious beliefs, etc, etc, we are nothing but slaves. We are all different. But we are all the same in that we are all PEOPLE. And we are all united in the bonds of wage slavery. And, we are united in the fact that only by working together can we break the bonds of slavery. If you think that just because you drive a Ferrari and have a net worth of 6 figures that you are not included in the wage slave club, I’ve got news for you: You are a wage slave too. You just pay a higher rate of tax than the rest of us. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… United we stand, divided we carry on the headlong rush into stress induced illnesses and hopeless escapism.

Goodnight.

Fuck fuck fuckety fuck.

Never thought I’d start a post like that. Shills. Whilst trying to get to the bottom of the whole shill mania I had to stop and have a cup of tea, take a few deep breaths and repeat; Fuck fuck fuckety fuck.

Shills on forums. Forums I’ve never even heard of or care to. Forums I have heard of and kicked shill butt on many times. But it gets worse. If you try to find dark corners of the internet where people really expose who the big shill masters are, you find shills accusing everyone else of being a shill. Not to mention pages and pages of bullshit diversion posts. What are diversion posts? Where two or more participants in a thread purposely ignore a point that threatened to inject some reason and logic. The most common outcome being that the victim of this attack quickly points out that there are shills invading the thread. This almost always progresses into a pointless bout of “who’s the shill”. Thus ending any chance of a logical, honest discussion and furthering the inevitable ticket to ride on the apathy train. Last stop: Fuck it let’s watch TV Town, via I’ll try again some other time City.

Who are the shills?

Many people are being taken in by Russia Today. Wrongly believing that this is the News channel for those with alternative world views. The champion of those who are wise to the fact that big banks and corporations are fucking us over like never before.

It is not. The director general of parent organisation RIA Novosti is Svetlana Mironyuk.

Svetlana is a member of the World Economic Forum. Head of the WEF is….. Klaus Schwab. CFR. Svetlana, via her WEF/Schwab connection has attended many functions that included participants from Bilderberg, Chatham House, CFR, and many more. Ok, some would argue that this proves nothing, however for me it proves that the head of the organization responsible for this new amazing ‘truthers’ news channel, is clearly in bed with all the relevant parts of the elites control hubs. If you’ve never visited the Chatham House website, I thoroughly recommend you take a look. Like the CFR, if it is not an influential organisation, and if it is not at all connected to actual enacted government policies, then how can it be that 99.99% of their reports, articles and literature directly mirrors current and projected worldwide government policies? If you sift through the jargon and airy fairy bullshit terminology, you’ll find that it is painfully simple to find out what’s going on and who is benefiting. www.chathamhouse.org. Please note that to access some of the really juicy bits you need to be a member, which is rather expensive and who knows what kind of lists your name will be added to if you are vetted for membership. There’s enough to download from the free non membership material to make it worth your time visiting.

Shill it up

So who’s top of the Shillistic pile?

The aforementioned RT, comes in as our highest new entry pop pickers! The fact that it’s got such an amazing array of fancy graphics and world wide news credibility, makes it one of the most potentially dangerous newcomers to this first edition of this chart. RT’s clips can be seen all over youtube, reposted as representations of ‘unequivocal proof’ by misled truthers and shills.

David Icke’s Forum and his Shill Poster Groupies. I’ve spent a good few hours this week watching the female members of my family make the house look pretty and smell nice with Christmasballs, whilst I killed some time kicking shill cunts around on the shill princes forum pages. I highly doubt that Dave himself has ever even logged into the forum, but I can assure you that if he ever does, his army of shill bots will have him quaking in his shell suit with their fear mongering and general bullshit rants.

Me kicking ass at the DI "truth" forum. Watch out people it's WW3!!!

Alex Jones. He;s from Texas, and he’s loud. With or without a megaphone.

Zeitgeist Movies. Like Mr Icke, they spout some good information, only to piss all over it moments later by concluding that ‘infinite love’ is the answer to all our problems. Yes, when I file my tax return I’ll replace the payment with a post it note full of kisses and some love hearts. That’ll work.

The Occupy Movement. Yes I know, we all hoped that it was for real and might be the start of roads out of wage slavedom. What’s the problem? No clear goals. No clear message. And let me just visit an OCCUPY webpage very quickly just to cement the point: Human rights, human rights, lots of stuff that sounds like it’s truthy goodness. I would sincerely love to be proven wrong on this entry. However, with no clear aims and objectives, the ‘global revolution’ is nothing more than a political tool for monitoring public opinion, or possibly something more sinister.

Max Keiser. His overly zealous attacks on Goldman Sachs, via his RT show, initially alerted me to the fact that something wasn’t quite right about RT. Cheers Max.

Noam Chomsky. Ok so he doesn’t claim to represent the truthy movement. But he makes himself appealing to many would be truthish freedom fighters. And he’s a cunt.

David Icke – Infinite love, universal conscious and truthyness thrown in for good measure, Ickeballs is making money.

infowars.com - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s0GrWjwFs8

Ron Paul – Showing signs of shillism as he gets older. Not sure he’ll hold this 10 spot for long though.

More to come boys and girls. Beware the shitsack shills polluting posts at a forum near you!!

There will be no WW3!!

The game has already been won.

Look after your body and mind and all will be fine

I was so impressed with Omid Malekan’s video’s on Quantitative Easing and The Bailouts, I thought I’d have a go myself.

Looks like Monsanto are going to kill us all long before the new world order stick microchips into all of us. And to think that in 2006 I suggested to a friend that if all new born babies had a DNA sample taken, we could eradicate 99% of most crime in the future. RFID chips were a much quicker option. You don’t have one yet? What the hell do you think makes your new shiny passport biometric?

A quick ixquick search uncovered $11,000,000,000 2009 net sales for mass poisoners Monkillto. What’s ixquick? You’re still using google? Maybe you should ask them to pay you for selling YOUR data.

It would be interesting if someone could find out if there are any countries that don’t import Roundup Ready chemicals. North Korea maybe?

Monsanto 2009 Report

IMF: Global outlook is ‘gloomy’

IMF head Christine Lagarde says the world economic outlook is gloomy and no country is immune from rising risks.

Translation: We are still fucking you the people. And all is continuing as planned.

Who is Christine Lagarde?

From the three obvious choices of CFR, Trilateral Commission, and the RIIA, I took a chance on CFR. Bingo!

http://www.cfr.org/france/video-highlight-christine-lagarde/p14586

She also has connections to William Cohen, with his comfortable seat on the board of CBS. Who happens to be….. a CFR member!

Who are the CFR?

http://www.bilderberg.org/roundtable/emfix.html

Depending on who you ask, and what statistics are used, the total estimated wealth of the world is somewhere between $50 Trillion and $120 Trillion. Even if we go with the conservative $50 Trillion. That’s 50,000,000,000,000 Dollars. There are 7 Billion people on this planet. Does anyone really need to be hungry? Remember that currency is just a unit of exchange. It doesn’t go far enough in highlighting the real imbalance. Follow the money? How about follow the raw materials and precious metals.

Goodnight.

1. There’s always been information out there, and as Mr Icke pointed out to the somewhat blinded OCCUPY folks, you could just go and pick up a copy of 1984.

2. Control of information is now far more important than the actual information itself.

The problems start when you actually come to accept that whatever you choose to believe about this world, if what you do choose doesn’t fit with the mainstream or ‘normal’ viewpoint, you will be very quickly branded a conspiracy theorist, lunatic, etc, etc. That wasn’t always the case. The mainstream media has carefully nurtured these new labels over the last few years to make them what they are today; instant ridicule.

And now that these irksome, question asking naysayers are safely tucked up in bed with label firmly intact, the onus has switched to control of the information that led them astray in the first place.

I often wonder what it must be like for people that have only recently broken out of the normal world box. Only to be led up the garden path by the ‘truth movement’. The likes of Jones and Icke do put some well researched informative information out there. Sadly though, like the Zeitgeist movie, for all their hard work and effort, they all seem to fall at the last hurdle. That last hurdle being the most important part.

People have made the journey, they’ve taken on all this new information and marveled at the fact we are all so openly deceived by our controllers. The anticipation builds… you’re waiting for it… it’s coming… we’re near the end… annnndPOW!!

There it is.

NOTHING.

I’m not for a second suggesting that the upper echelons of the truth movement should have the answers to all the worlds problems, there waiting, freshly served up at the end of their latest youtube video.

No, not at all. However. And it’s a pretty big however so I’ll say it again; HOWEVER, they could at least put forward a few basic ideas. They spend hundreds of hours doing research and planning/writing/filming, and they can’t come up with ANY ideas? Nothing?

Nothing at all?

This isn’t something solely aimed at the feet of Jones and Icke. It’s the whole goddam ‘truth movement’.

I feel lucky that I got hold of all my information long before I picked up any of Icke’s books or watched one of Jones’ many youtube videos. (Although I would just like to point out that the 1995 book And The Truth Shall Set You Free is a MUST for all just starting out on their journey towards lunatic fringedom). Getting to the bottom of things by yourself is infinitely more rewarding. Truth websites can help to point you in the right direction some of the time. But more often than not they’ll just try to get you caught up in their own take on the ‘truth’ agenda.

My journey started with an experimental encyclopedia that stored all bookmarks on a timeline. After just one month of using it, it looked quite apparent that the funding for WW2 must have come from the USA. Naaaah, that can’t be right I thought. That was 1999. I didn’t think about it again, until a few years after 9/11, when LOTS of interesting information started popping up, thanks mainly to the people that are now known only as the fruit and nut nutters.

It was a pleasant and somewhat shocking surprise to learn that my outlandish conclusion about the USA turned out to be true!

I shan’t bore you with the details. All you need to know is 1941, Prescott Bush, and the ‘Trading with the Enemy act’. Do some research of your own. Find out how frustrating it feels to be unfairly labeled crank, nutter, fruitbat, etc, while you scream at them “no!! it’s not from a crappy website! I did the research myself, it’s all here. Stop laughing at me!!!!”

Enjoy.

I digress. My beef with the fruitbat truthers is this:
(I don’t think anyone really does call us fruitbats, but I like it)

How difficult is it to come up with a few ideas that help people to utilise all this fantastic information you just gave us?

Maybe they’d prefer it if, after helping to open our eyes and showing us the light, we all just chat aimlessly on their forums rather than actually doing something about the hopeless, desperate quagmire that we seem to be facing?

Explain fractional reserve banking scam; no problem! Come up with some ideas for positive action? Er. Hmmm. Umm. Yeah. Can I… um, can I get back to you on that one? I need to reply to some comments on my forum.

Let’s start off with the first bone of contention that springs to mind. Jones harping on about the Federal Reserve Bank Scam. He’s right!! Of course he is. But what does he suggest you do? Copy him and stand on the street yelling loudly through a megaphone?

Fast track to the nearest nuthouse I reckon.

Yes, if you didn’t know it by now god help you, but all monetary systems on this planet are fixed up farces designed to make you poor at best, enslave you at worst.

Let’s put it this way. You have $10 now. You save it. At 2011 prices that $10 buys you 20 loaves of bread. In 5 years time that same $10 buys you only 10 loaves of bread. What exactly was the point of saving the $10 in the first place? You hoped that by saving it it would feed you in the future?

The worthless paper we carry is losing it’s value faster than Lady Gaga’s credibility. (I’m sure she had some, probably just before she learned to speak).

Solution? Exchange your worthless currency for things that have real VALUE!!!

You can’t afford to invest in a gold mine in South Africa?

Join the club!

Buy anything that you can see adequately holds its value over time.

Or, go one step further and…. Make your own bread!

You’ll take back the enormous mark up from the supermarket and you know you’ll be eating something wholesome. (read my last post
regarding supermarkets for info on that).

There’s a whole bunch of this eye-opening stuff that we really shouldn’t need a conspiracy fruitbat website to shine a 9 volt torch on for us to all see it.

Walk around your abode. Count how many of your electrical items were made in China. We all did it. We all walked into electrical outlets in the 90′s and beyond, marvelling at the ridiculously cheap toasters and microwaves. But as time went on, how many of us stopped and thought…. hmmm, if I buy cheap shit from China, I’m actually stealing from myself in the long run. I buy a cheap toaster today, but in ten years time, when I have my own business and want to expand… ooops!!

The economy of my country is fucked! Oh dear how did that happen?

It could be something to do with the fact that your country has a service based economy that is highly volatile and needs a minimum 10% manufacturing base to keep its large wheels turning. Oh. Bugger. You don’t have a client base anymore because people in your country don’t have any money. Why, because your country doesn’t make anything anymore. All those out of work people that don’t work in factories making stuff, they can’t buy your product or service. You can’t afford to pay your staff. Your staff can now barely afford the $20 toaster. Ooops. Those cheaply priced Chinese electrical goods don’t seem so bright and shiny anymore. Do they?

Did I need the help of Alex Jones and his megaphone or David Icke and his reptilian hunting lunatic fringe to spell that out to you?

No. It’s just common sense.

Here’s an Idea. Make things yourself. Encourage others to make things themselves. If you look at the people out there who have bought the conspiracy t-shirt and watched all the sequels, you’ll find that most have used the t-shirt to dust down their worktops, deleted the videos and used the remaining hard drive space to record their own videos showing you how and why they made their own stuff.

It’s pretty damn simple people.

You don’t need to be an expert in economics to work out that all countries should protect their exports and internal industry, whilst
closely monitoring imports and imposing tariffs on any that might threaten the livelihood of any of its people. What we have today
is the exact opposite.

And, why are we looking at a global economic meltdown?

Hmmm. beats the fuck out of me.

World economic crisis? Free markets?

Monitor imports & protect exports = Protect your people.
Embrace free markets = Current worldwide economic hopeless farce = Fuck the people.

You don’t need any knowledge about conspiracy theories to help you work this out.

It’s the truth. There outside your door waiting to greet you everyday.

Countries protecting their exports would never kill world trade. It would do the reverse.

Think about it.

Knock knock!

There’s somebody at the door!

Who is it?

It’s the hypothetical superhero! Captain Hypothetical Outburst!

What is it captain HO?

“well, let’s for a second imagine, this hypothetical scenario……..
If this ‘truth’ we speak of happened to be a young child, just about to say its first words, what would those words be?”

“Daddy! Daddy! Made in China!”

In a world where not one but two 110 story buildings can fall faster than most athletes can run 100 metres, and millions of people watch the buildings being demolished but can’t come close to admitting to themselves that they just saw what can only be described as a live televised pre-planned government-sponsored massacre. Can it then be that surprising that those same people aimlessly wonder around brightly lit warehouses full of poison packets, believing that they are buying good quality wholesome food?

In the 1970’s the average supermarket chicken contained around 8 grams of fat per 100 grams of chicken. Nowadays that figure is well over 20 grams of fat per 100 grams of chicken. This is entirely due to ‘mass production’ of a farmyard animal. I love the way that the blame is turned on the people; “consumer demand has pushed us to this point, it’s entirely their fault. They want cheap white clean shiny packets of chicken and that’s what they get”.

So let’s get this straight; consumers actually asked you to produce chicken this way? They wrote to your company and explicitly asked for a bird that’s spent its short life sitting in a cage full of its own excrement and urine, whilst being pumped full of growth hormones and other chemical nasties?

That never happened, because like most things in this world today, it didn’t get to that point overnight. It happened gradually, over a long period of time. It wasn’t a case of one day the chicken was a running and a roaming free, happily munching on herbs and seeds, and the next day it woke up in a cage with a syringe up its arse.

No, the chicken, like the humans that put it there, experienced a more gradual change. From field to farm enclosure, from farm to pen, from pen to cage, from cage to cage and no beak, and eventually onwards to sitting in its own piss. It’s ironic that the humans have actually experienced a very similar path to prison. However, unlike the chicken, humans will happily construct their own virtual cages, and without prompting, will happily police themselves and everyone else.

I’ve heard it said many times that human beings will accept any changes, as long as those changes are implemented over a long enough period of time. And if that process ever needed to be sped up a little, catastrophic disasters can always be deployed to motivate the people to cry out for the exact solution they couldn’t have stomached, had it been readily dished out like a TV dinner flying out of a microwave.

“Get those damned terrorists”

“Give us a vaccine for this swine flu”

“Change this situation now, so that we don’t have to think about it. Thus returning us to our consumer based mundane non-thinking existence”

Some changes take a bit longer, but the elite families that have ruled for several millennia are a very patient bunch.

As wordwizard points out:

“Napoleon Bonaparte wanted to create a European superstate.

Adolf Hitler wanted to create a European superstate.

Both of these advocated central control of the masses. What difference is there between their dreams and the present day European ideology?”

I think both Hitler and Napoleon would be quite impressed with the way Herman Van Rompuy was hand-picked and primed by the elite, and then installed as leader of a European superstate. The icing on the cake being that very few of the 500 million people he rules have any idea who he is or how he got there. They did not elect him. They have no idea how much power he has. Can you believe that? 500 million people that have absolutely fuck all idea who they answer to. Scarier still is that most do not care to know.

I can’t help feeling an overwhelming sense of hopelessness. People who are so blind, so unwilling to open there eyes, so afraid to accept that they live in a fantasy and have been lied to over and over again by the people they thought they could trust, surely deserve to be poisoned, don’t they?

Labels and packaging.

When I was 7 years old, I would play happily with my two best friends in our gardens. Inventing new games, keeping ourselves entertained for hours. I’m White, and my two best friends were Black and Asian. At no point did it ever cross our minds that there was anything at all strange about our different ethnic backgrounds and the fact that we would spend the entire summer holiday using a tree as an imaginary spacecraft. It was all perfectly normal to us.

By the time we reached our early teens, something had changed. We were not as close. By the time we left our teens we barely kept in touch anymore. What had happened? Had we grown up and made new friends? Yes. Had we moved to different towns and lost touch? Yes.

However, it wasn’t until much later, probably around my mid-twenties, that I realised what it was that bothered me about that. Looking back I can see that actually what really happened was that as we entered our teens, transparent labels were placed on our heads, and without realising it we started to conform to hidden edicts that had been silently absorbed into our conscious minds. Black people moved towards Black groups, Asian people towards Asian groups, etc, etc.

Has anyone ever stopped to ask why we had to tick a box in the ‘ethnic origin’ section of that council form? Or even why the box, which I think popped up in the early nineties, is even there in the first place?

Equal opportunities and ‘fairness’ my arse.

Label them all up, then pit them all against each other and watch them grow weaker and weaker as they become ever increasingly isolated and disconnected from each other. White versus Black, Blue versus Red, Left versus Right. It’s so simple!

Are you still wearing your labels?

WARNING: Don’t forget to switch your TV on at regular intervals, to receive your necessary system updates. Remember, citizens that do not receive the correct amount of regular system updates could be ridiculed by other citizens, and left with overwhelming feelings of self-doubt, disassociation and loneliness.

Wait… There’s a heckler in the back row!

“I can’t possibly accept any of what you are saying. To do so would mean completely rebuilding my world view. That could lead to having to face up to my own responsibilities in this world. That would all involve far too much effort. Politicians know about running the country, that’s their job. I may mock them from time to time but deep down I’d never want to worry about all that complicated political stuff. I’m far too preoccupied with my own self-importance, ego and scheduling my next shopping spree so that I have plenty to brag about at work on Monday morning. I shall therefore give you an emotional response to your words; You ‘re talking shit! It’s all rubbish! I know who the Prime-minister is! I listen to BBC news, and sensible people like doctors! You are full of bollocks, ok!”

Woah there Simba! Look, If it makes you happy, we can play ask a doctor! How about that? We’ll ask a doctor some questions. That’s right, sensible trustworthy phd in the bag, good old honest doc. OK?

Let’s play – ASK A DOCTOR!

Today’s doctor is Diane Longstreet PHD RD. (I’m not sure what the RD represents, but my money’s on Real Doctor). Shhh. Of course, RD stands for Registered Dietician. Well, she should really know her stuff when it comes to food then…..

Doctor, are fast food companies responsible for obesity in America?

The simple answer would have to be “no” because the cause of obesity is much more complex.

So despite the fact that like supermarkets, fast food companies laden their food with MSG, which inhibits the bodies system that tells us when to stop eating because we are full, and then decides to hide that fact from us, people are themselves actually to blame?

There’s a balance between blaming the person or blaming something else. Yes, we have personal choice. And yes, our behaviour is profoundly shaped by our culture and environment.

Hmm, culture and environment. Could you be referring to McDonalds advertising Happy Meals to 5 year olds in between cartoons at 7 in the morning?

McDonald’s has been, and continues to be, a powerful leader in creating change to our food culture. On the positive, McDonald’s has made considerable strides to respond to the public challenge presented by “Supersize Me” and “Food Inc.”

Right. So I guess there’s really nothing to worry about then?

There continues to be much room for improvement, yet you’ll find most fast food outlets have one or more healthy choices… this is because of consumer demand.

Thanks doc! You see, there’s nothing to worry about! Listen to sensible people and you’ll find that there’s absolutely nothing wrong. It’s all ok. Everything’s under control. Now be a good little citizen and go back to sleep. Sleeeeep. Sleeeeeeeeep. There you go.

Anymore hecklers out there? Please feel free to leave comments at the end. Don’t be upset if I kick your arses from this webpage all the way to the nearest KFC.

“Healthy choices” says Dr Longstreet? Let’s just have a quick look at McDonalds’ idea of a ‘healthy choice’:

Typical McDonalds Salad:

Premium Caesar Salad with Crispy Chicken and Creamy Caesar Dressing

36g of Fat, 1.3g of Salt and 9g of Sugar

Yeah. Good one doc. Healthy choices my arsehole. I guess at this point we could argue that any right minded person walking into McDonalds deserves to be fat-salt-sugar and MSG’d into bad health, diabetes and cancer. But, it really should have been the doctor that pointed that out and not me…

Wait: the heckler’s back…

What fucking university did you go to? You’re not a doctor! What the fuck do you know about anything anyway!

Well, Mr Heckler, the doctor says McDonalds with its healthy choices are just about fine and dandy for you. Go get yourself a Chicken Caeser ‘Salad’ and enjoy. Apparently the highly qualified Registered Dietician is Loving It just as much as you. Die quietly. Somewhere far away from me. While you’re at it take Dr Longstreet for a long walk down a very dark street. Thank you.

Anyway!

What are they selling you at your local supermarket?

REFINED SUGAR

When (refined) sugar is constantly in the diet, the pancreas must constantly produce insulin. When sugar is continually overused, the pancreas eventually wears out and is no longer able to clear sugar from the blood, and diabetes is often the result.

Sugar also increases the urinary output of essential vitamins and minerals. According to L. K. Massey in Acute effects of dietary caffeine and sucrose on urinary mineral excretion in healthy adolescents, calcium loss through the urine doubles when a soft drink containing sugar is consumed. Cola drinks containing both caffeine and sugar caused the greatest calcium and bone loss.

Like refined salt, it’s in everything.

Overworking your pancreas with high sugar intake will most likely lead to diabetes or cancer. Sugar also damages your immune system overall.

ALCOHOL

Like sugar, highly addictive, and consumed in large amounts highly dangerous. Causes liver damage.

“Alcohol causes nearly 4 percent of deaths worldwide, more than AIDS, tuberculosis or violence, the World Health Organization warned on Friday night, whilst downing shots with his mates IMF, BIS, and World Bank”

REFINED SALT

Dehydrates the body. Contains none of the good minerals that natural sea-salt possesses. Our bodies crave natural sea salt, that’s why fast food smells so good. Your body wants salt, but the right salt. Not refined table salt or MSG.

MSG

Does all kinds of crazy things to your body and brain. Seriously dangerous stuff. You can eat that last piece of KFC, because the MSG has interfered with the normal ‘Gosh I’m full’ signal. The best thing about MSG is that it doesn’t even have to be mentioned on the product labelling unless it’s 100% pure MSG! How’s about that for a corporate stitch-up? Have you ever seen ‘flavourings’ mentioned upon checking the label of your favourite brands?

As long as they are 98% MSG and not 100% MSG, they need not be mentioned. More on this later…

HFCS & GFS (High Fructose Corn Syrup & Glucose-Fructose-Syrup)

The US and European abbreviations of what is essentially the same thing. Highly modified glucose syrup. This stuff is so fucked up that it could get its own blog entry. In short, your body doesn’t know what to do with it, because… it is not fucking normal. Avoid at all costs.

All of the above mentioned items are not needed by your body!

“hey, but my body needs a certain amount of salt, right?”

Yes it does. Just not the refined or ‘table’ version. Your body is crying out for the goodness of pure sea salt, enriched in natural minerals.

But, what is even more important to note than the fact that your body doesn’t need these unnecessary additives, is that they all help push your body towards an acidic state. A fact which is equally as worrying as all the other negative effects already mentioned.

An acidic body is a haven for disease and cancer. So called cancer ‘research’ organisations and ‘charities’, will concede that cancer of the small intestine is exceptionally rare. What they won’t tell you is why. The normal pH of the Small Intestine is pH 7.0 (neutral) to pH 9.0 (alkaline). Liver Bile and Pancreatin from the Pancreas need this neutral-to-alkaline condition in order to work properly for you in the breakdown of fats and converting proteins to amino acids.

Cancer and other diseases can’t exist in an alkaline environment. Hence, not so much cancer of the small intestine. Supermarkets are chock full of processed acid forming foods. Fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds are mostly alkalizing. Meaning that when they reach your stomach, they will metabolise into alkaline compounds. All other ‘foods’ will do the opposite. As long as your diet is 70% alkalizing, (IE 70% fruit and veg) a little bit of cake or the odd chocolate bar won’t do you too much harm. Your stomach can produce acids to break down your food. It can’t do the opposite and induce an alkaline state all on its own. That’s where you need to help it out.

A supermarket should look like this:

But instead, looks like this:

I guess in fairness to Dr Longstreet, I should point out that she did go on to say that consumers do have the power to change this situation. But isn’t it slightly naïve to think that if we the consumer stop buying the shite, and only buy fruit and veg, that the supermarket would start expanding the fruit and veg sections?

When we the consumer complained about MSG, it was re-labelled and hidden. When we complained about GM foods, they were re-labelled and hidden. When Europeans became suspicious of HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup), in Europe it was renamed Glucose-Fructose Syrup. (Because we Europeans are far too smart to fall for the same poisons that our American cousins willingly ingest, yeah right). At least Americans elected their president. Or did they….

In any case, does anyone really believe that the sheeple will actually ever stop buying and eating the shite? Even if we scream from the rooftops that it’s poison?

Of course they won’t.

Because all of this information, and information like it, challenges their petty little idealistic unchallengeable world view. Most people can’t cope with the truth. Hence the emotional “you’re talking crap” denial response.

Everything is ok. Supermarkets are owned by reputable companies. The reputable companies that produce the food would not be allowed to get away with poisoning us in broad daylight. The government wouldn’t let them.

Breaking news: They are poisoning you, and of course the government lets them. Apparently, that’s business. Profits and shareholders are important. You and your health, and your entire pointless existence are not. Just shut up and keep paying your taxes, and remember to make sure you strive towards getting a mortgage and building a healthy level of credit debt.

Happy Shopping!!

If you don’t play ball the consequences can be fatal. A clear message has been sent to all that dare to question the orders of the European Council. Funny that upon breaking the news, the mainstream media felt it necessary to throw in a stark warning that conspiracy theories will be rife. Beware those darned crazy conspiracy theorists!

Kaczynski and Skrzypek decided to do the best thing for their people and paid the ultimate price. Let’s see how quickly their work is reversed. Welcome people of Poland, to the Euro currency and the new world order.

Sept 29th 2005

“Self sufficiency and our own currency are the most important elements of the country’s independance and I cannot imagine giving them up without a referendum”

Lech Kaczynski

.

.

.

Oct 30th 2008

“There’s lots of work still ahead of Poland”

Slawomir Skrzypek during a Reuters interview where he revealed his doubts about Polish adoption of the Euro in 2012.

.

.

.

Jan 2010

Herman Van Rompuy meets Kaczynski to discuss the functioning of the EU with the Lisbon Treaty now in force.

.

.

.

April 9th 2010

Polish National Bank and Polish government agree to weaken the Zloty in an effort to strengthen Polish exports. This course of action is completely at odds with the EU’s belief that the only way for Poland to solve the problem of a strong Zloty is to switch to the Euro as quickly as possible. In 2008 financial ‘experts’ in Warsaw also stated that the only way to solve the problem of a strong Zloty would be immediate adoption of the Euro.

The decision to weaken the Zloty would have clearly been the best way forward for the Polish people. But it would have pushed Poland even further away from adopting the Euro currency.

How dare a nation state assert its financial independence! How dare a nation state act against the honorable recommendations of The European Council!

.

.

.

April 10th 2010

At least 96 people die in a suspicious plane crash in Russia. Victims include Lech Kaczynski and Slawomir Skrzypek.

.

.

.

.

And so the battle of common sense and logic vs mainstream media spin and bullshit begins again.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the families and friends of all involved.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s only when our so called freedom is truly lost that most people will wake up.

Vive la new world order!

.

.

.

Meanwhile, back in Brussles:

H: The conspiracy nutters are at it again, they are saying we did it.

B: Have we got any terrorists we can blame?

H: Not yet.

B: Well in the mean time we could just put a bit of spin on the old Russian/Polish animosity.

H: Brilliant! It’s been a while since anyone used the ‘it woz them Russians guv, honest!’ line.

B: Those bloody terrorists! Always trying to destroy our free world. We’ll have to push for increased security measures to ensure that this doesn’t happen again! There’s already speculation that the terrorists could be Muslims!

H: Fantastic. Another win-win-win scenario perfectly executed! Ha ha ! geddit? executed!

B: oh H you’re such a blast!

H: That’s exactly what the Russians said!

Has anyone noticed that we keep hearing politicians around the world rant on about a ‘new world order’. What is this new world order? What does it really mean?

According to so called conspiracy theorists it sounds like a secret group of people that control the world…. Well surely such a group, if they did exist, would never dare to speak about such an organisation in public lest they get found out?

I’ve heard it said that the best place to hide the truth is out in the open.

So, I am going to attempt to get a real sense of what the new world order and one world governance really are all about, and I’m going to steer well clear of any dark and sinister conspiracy websites, that apparently, are only read by lunatics and fools.

I thought the best place to start would be where sensible and sain people look for information. Wikipedia. I started by searching for ‘new world order’.

New world order – according to Wikipedia:

New world order – (politics)

Despite various interpretations of this term, it is primarily associated with the ideological notion of global governance only in the sense of new collective efforts to identify, understand, or address worldwide problems that go beyond the capacity of individual states to solve.

New world order – (conspiracy theory)

In conspiracy theory, the term “New World Order” or “NWO” refers to the emergence of a bureaucratic collectivist one-world government.

Numerous historical and current events are seen as steps in an on-going plot to achieve world domination through secret political gatherings and decision-making processes.

So let me get this straight. An ‘ideological notion of global governance that serves to address worldwide problems that go beyond the capacity of individual states to solve’, is somehow not the same as having a world government? A ‘global government’ is so vastly different from a ‘one world government’ that anyone who believes in the latter is a certifiable fruitbat, and those that believe in the former are perfectly normal. Seems like a pretty thin line to me. ‘Secret political gatherings’? Well before I go any further on that I would like us all to be one hundred and ten percent clear on what a conspiracy theorist actually is according to the forthright wikipedia:

Wikipedia – Conspiracy theory:

Conspiracy theory is a term that originally was a neutral descriptor for any claim of civil, criminal or political conspiracy. However, it has become largely pejorative and used almost exclusively to refer to any fringe theory which explains a historical or current event as the result of a secret plot by conspirators of almost superhuman power and cunning.

Conspiracy theories are viewed with skepticism by the scientific community and academia, and often ridiculed by pundits, because they are rarely supported by any conclusive evidence.

The term is therefore often used dismissively in an attempt to characterize a belief as outlandishly false and held by a person judged to be a crank or a group confined to the lunatic fringe.

As previously mentioned, the people on the conspiracy theory one-world government side of the fence are labeled cranks and part of ‘the lunatic fringe’, whilst those on the global governance side are fine and dandy.

Back to secret political gatherings and decision making processes.

If it’s only the lunatic fringe that support this seemingly bizarre notion of secrecy and politics joining to provide decision making behind closed doors, then surely it would never be possible to find any evidence of such a situation actually existing?

We should be able to safely assume that such evidence is not only non existent, but would never be found amongst the same webpages that just told us with an air of authority that conspiracy theorists are the laughing stock of the academic world. If wikipedia itself actually provided anything close to conclusive evidence that secret political gatherings were actually regularly scheduled events by those supporting the idea of a one-world government, wouldn’t that make wikipedia a part of the cranky, crazy-bunch of nutbags that it so openly denounces?

Let’s find out!

Wikipedia – Search terms: politics, secrecy, “one-world government”

Out of the four results, only one does not appear to be directly related to a ‘conspiracy theory’:

Bilderberg Group

The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, or Bilderberg Club is an annual, unofficial, invitation-only conference of around 130 guests, most of whom are persons of influence in the fields of politics, banking, business, the military, and media. Each conference is held under intense security and secrecy.

Intense secrecy? Not just regular old normal secrecy? And what about decision making?

In a European Parliament session in Brussels, Mario Borghezio, an Italian member of the European Parliament, questioned the nominations of Bilderberg and Trilateral attendees for the posts of EU President and EU foreign minister.

In 2009 the group had a dinner meeting at Castle of the Valley of the Duchess in Brussels, on the 12th of November, with the participation of Herman Van Rompuy, who later became the President of the European Council.

President of the European Council?

Wow. That must have been some dinner!

But wait! What’s this?

Wikipedia joins the lunatic fringe? Surely not…..

Bilderberg founding member and, for 30 years, a steering committee member, Denis Healey has said:

‘To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing”.

In a rather pathetic attempt to cover its tracks, good old wikipedia conveniently dumped this part of the article into a sub section labeled conspiracy theories. Remember, if it’s filed under ‘conspiracy theory’, it must be ‘outlandishly false’. Well, the Denis Healey quote is referenced and valid, and I’m sure that if the quote were a fabrication, wikipedia’s own staunch defenders of truth would have promptly removed it.

The Healey quote seems quite blasé about how the Bilderberg Group ‘felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing’, and with his comments all being in the past tense, it might suggest that a one world government was set up by Bilderberg just in time for afternoon tea and biscuits!

I said I’d steer clear of conspiracy websites, and I have. But after just three pages of wikipedia, I’ve ended up with a story that looks far more bizarre than any cranky conspiracy website could dream up.

Maybe the BBC could do a better job of helping us separate the wheat from the chaff…..

BBC (same search: ‘new world order’)

Pope calls for fairer world order

The Pope has celebrated his traditional New Year’s mass in St Peter’s Basilica with a forceful call for peace and a new fairer world order.

He called for a new international order based on the goals of the United Nations to secure peace.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3361345.stm

Brown wants a ‘new world order’

He called for a “new diplomacy” to go alongside military power to defeat terrorism, share prosperity and “win the battle of hearts and minds”.

“I believe that there is a collective interest that the world can be persuaded of, in the United Nations playing a bigger role in security”

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/6277747.stm

So whatever this new world order actually means, it’s good to know that Mr Brown and the Pope are singing from the same hymn sheet.

War on terrorism – BBC Breakfast With Frost Interview with George Bush Snr, former President of the United States, 30 September 2001

FROST: And in terms of your phrase: “a new world order”, now we have a situation where President Putin of Russia is being very helpful, they’re even talking about joining Nato, could this be, in fact, the beginning of that new world order?

GEORGE BUSH SNR: Well I think – I think we ought to clarify what new world order is. I think there is a better world without potential superpower conflict and that new order has permitted a lot of countries to begin to make their democracies more effective, indeed you look around instead of one monolithic Soviet Union you have a lot of countries who have free elections and free markets. So I think we’re seeing – saw the beginning, after Desert Storm of a new world order.

….. And so it’s going to take a while to perfect a new world order but I’m very hopeful that 20 years from now we’re going to say – look there is a lot more peace, a lot more democracies, a lot more free trade, a lot more market, you know, open markets.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/breakfast_with_frost/1571321.stm

Aren’t open markets the pride of the World Trade Organisation?

Blair’s push for new world order

The prime minister’s trip to the Middle East was the first time we saw in practice the theme of his party conference speech about establishing a new world order.

“And this is not simply something we are saying because of the aftermath of 11 September and the need to keep a strong alliance, it is something we genuinely believe. And this has gone back a very, very long time.”

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/1594675.stm

How long is very, very long Mr Blair? Lets ask Walter Russell Mead, of the liberal-minded Council on Foreign Relations:

“I look at the history of the last 350 years, and it’s been 350 years of constant financial crisis, and all of these other crises haven’t derailed the continued construction of this… global liberal system,”

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8269003.stm

That is a very long time Walter. It’s good to know that this global liberal system has been centuries in the making!

New World Order ?

Gordon Brown is in the United States to set out how he believes the international community should tackle the challenges facing the modern world.

Henry Kissinger

The former US secretary of state describes his admiration for Gordon Brown and his hope that his words on international co-operation will be heeded in times of dramatic global change. Listen to the interview

Copenhagen: the dawn of a new political reality – Robin Lustig

It may well be that when the history of the 21st century comes to be written, that will be seen as the moment when the new world order was born.

One final thought: the UN model of consensual policy-making based on nation states doesn’t work any more. If Copenhagen taught world leaders anything, it’s that they need to work together in groups – geographical, economic, political – to define common positions ahead of global summits.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/worldtonight/2009/12/copenhagen_the_dawn_of_a_new_p.html

Ah, so your saying we need global co-operation. Is that an ‘idealistic notion of global governance’ or a ‘bureaucratic collectivist one-world government’ that you have in mind? Tread carefully Robin, the guys over at wikipedia.com might have good reason to lump you in with their clan of cranks.

Bypassing the blockage of nations

Solving the world’s environmental ills may mean re-thinking the role of nations and national governments, says our environment correspondent Richard Black

The problem may be that the very system of trying to solve global environmental problems through national governments is flawed.

As Geo-4 bears witness, one bone for each national dog is simply not working. It is surely time to ask whether a different way of ordering our affairs can bring sense to the global menagerie.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7187985.stm

Don’t worry Richard, it’s all under control. Despite the fact that hundreds of countries have for centuries managed their own affairs with varying degrees of success and failure, you can now rest assured that the nations of the world and their clear incompetence in the field of self governance will all be rescued by global governance. Or a one-world government. Just be careful which term you use. Despite the obvious similarities between the two almost identical expressions, one will get you tea with the pope and one will land you with the title of latest newcomer to the lunatic fringe.

Manifesto to change the world

So what would a world order based on democracy look like, not dissimilar to a democratic nation state, its pre-eminent political body, would be a world Parliament.

Let’s imagine these people as the members of our new world Parliament…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/newsnight/archive/2984480.stm

World parliament, global governance, one-world government, I wish these people would make up their minds!

Whatever you choose to call it, at least there seems to be an over-riding theme of the ineffectiveness of individual nation states without an all seeing, all knowing custodian that knows exactly how to deal with the issues and problems that are just too much for our own countries to deal with. Issues that need ‘global solutions’, due to the fact that our countries are so incapable of co-operating with each other to find solutions to common and shared problems.

It makes me think that maybe we haven’t been electing politicians to run things after all…..

United Nations or not?

The UN seemed destined to be the centrepiece of that shiny new world order which was so much talked about by President Bush senior in those heady days. And within less than a year there was an opportunity to road-test a model for managing the conflicts of the future; Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in August 1990. President George Bush (snr): What is at stake is more than one small country. It is a big idea. A new world order where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind. Peace and security, freedom and the rule of law.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/un/transcripts/transcript_programme2.shtml

Diverse nations drawn together you say Bush senior?

How fortunate it is that your Father’s not as infamous as your Son…..

Small steps on the road to recovery

And he also argued that there was a general agreement that fixing the banking system was now a global priority.

Mr Geithner added that he was glad for support for the US plan to expand the funds available to the International Monetary Fund.

And this is one of the other surprising things about the G20′s new agreement – the renewed faith that finance ministers are now putting in the IMF, which a few years ago seemed to running out of resources and searching for a role.

Now a global deal to increase the resources of the IMF – perhaps tripling them to $750bn (£537bn) – could be the centrepiece of the global deal at the G20 summit.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7944077.stm

Geithner. What a genius.

One question: If your IMF and it’s $750bn suddenly go tits up in an ‘unforseen financial crisis’, who bails out the global bank? Um, let me guess, the same suckers that always bail out the banks? Normal, everyday, bog standard folk?

Well, I guess they should have seen it coming.

It’s not as if anyone is trying to hide any of this!

Quite the opposite….

The pages of bbc.com seem to suggest that ‘new world order’ equals one big, global, central command, coming to the rescue of nation states that apparently would struggle to organise an orgy in a brothel.

Is that an alarm clock I can hear going off in your head?

No?

Never mind.

Nation unites to remember fallen – BBC 08.11.2009

We should all remember why our troops must fight for our freedoms.

Before taking a closer look at the BBC news story itself, lets remind ourselves why we should remember……

“If one looks at the map of the big American bases created [in the Afghan war], one is struck by the fact that they are completely identical to the route of the projected oil pipeline to the Indian Ocean.” Ma’ariv also states, “Osama bin Laden did not comprehend that his actions serve American interests… If I were a believer in conspiracy theory, I would think that bin Laden is an American agent. Not being one I can only wonder at the coincidence.”

War and Oil Pipelines

One day before the Israeli air strikes, the main partners and shareholders of the BTC pipeline project, including several heads of State and oil company executives were in attendance at the port of Ceyhan. They were then rushed off for an inauguration reception in Istanbul, hosted by Turkey’s President Ahmet Necdet Sezer in the plush surroundings of the Çýraðan Palace.

Also in attendance was British Petroleum’s (BP) CEO, Lord Browne together with senior government officials from Britain, the US and Israel. BP leads the BTC pipeline consortium. Other major Western shareholders include Chevron, Conoco-Phillips, France’s Total and Italy’s ENI.

Prior to the bombing of Lebanon, Israel and Turkey had announced the underwater pipeline routes, which bypassed Syria and Lebanon. These underwater pipeline routes do not overtly encroach on the territorial sovereignty of Lebanon and Syria.

On the other hand, the development of alternative land based corridors (for oil and water) through Lebanon and Syria would require Israeli-Turkish territorial control over the Eastern Mediterranean coastline through Lebanon and Syria.

The implementation of a land-based corridor, as opposed to the underwater pipeline project, would require the militarisation of the East Mediterranean coastline, extending from the port of Ceyhan across Syria and Lebanon to the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Is this not one of the hidden objectives of the war on Lebanon? Open up a space which enables Israel to control a vast territory extending from the Lebanese border through Syria to Turkey. [Michel Chossudovsky]

War and “Peak Oil”

Confessions of an ‘ex’ Peak Oil believer

The good news is that panic scenarios about the world running out of oil anytime soon are wrong. The bad news is that the price of oil is going to continue to rise. Peak Oil is not our problem. Politics is. Big Oil wants to sustain high oil prices. Dick Cheney and friends are all too willing to assist.

On a personal note, I’ve researched questions of petroleum, since the first oil shocks of the 1970’s. I was intrigued in 2003 with something called Peak Oil theory. It seemed to explain the otherwise inexplicable decision by Washington to risk all in a military move on Iraq.

Peak Oil advocates, led by former BP geologist Colin Campbell, and Texas banker Matt Simmons, argued that the world faced a new crisis, an end to cheap oil, or Absolute Peak Oil, perhaps by 2012, perhaps by 2007. Oil was supposedly on its last drops. They pointed to our soaring gasoline and oil prices, to the declines in output of North Sea and Alaska and other fields as proof they were right.

According to Campbell, the fact that no new North Sea-size fields had been discovered since the North Sea in the late 1960’s was proof. He reportedly managed to convince the International Energy Agency and the Swedish government. That, however, does not prove him correct.

Intellectual fossils?

The Peak Oil school rests its theory on conventional Western geology textbooks, most by American or British geologists, which claim oil is a ‘fossil fuel,’ a biological residue or detritus of either fossilized dinosaur remains or perhaps algae, hence a product in finite supply. Biological origin is central to Peak Oil theory, used to explain why oil is only found in certain parts of the world where it was geologically trapped millions of years ago. That would mean that, say, dead dinosaur remains became compressed and over tens of millions of years fossilized and trapped in underground reservoirs perhaps 4-6,000 feet below the surface of the earth. In rare cases, so goes the theory, huge amounts of biological matter should have been trapped in rock formations in the shallower ocean offshore as in the Gulf of Mexico or North Sea or Gulf of Guinea. Geology should be only about figuring out where these pockets in the layers of the earth, called reservoirs, lie within certain sedimentary basins.

An entirely alternative theory of oil formation has existed since the early 1950’s in Russia, almost unknown to the West. It claims conventional American biological origins theory is an unscientific absurdity that is un-provable. They point to the fact that western geologists have repeatedly predicted finite oil over the past century, only to then find more, lots more.

Not only has this alternative explanation of the origins of oil and gas existed in theory. The emergence of Russia and prior of the USSR as the world’s largest oil producer and natural gas producer has been based on the application of the theory in practice. This has geopolitical consequences of staggering magnitude.

Necessity: the mother of invention

In the 1950’s the Soviet Union faced ‘Iron Curtain’ isolation from the West. The Cold War was in high gear. Russia had little oil to fuel its economy. Finding sufficient oil indigenously was a national security priority of the highest order.

Scientists at the Institute of the Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Ukraine Academy of Sciences began a fundamental inquiry in the late 1940’s: where does oil come from?

In 1956, Prof. Vladimir Porfir’yev announced their conclusions: ‘Crude oil and natural petroleum gas have no intrinsic connection with biological matter originating near the surface of the earth. They are primordial materials which have been erupted from great depths.’ The Soviet geologists had turned Western orthodox geology on its head. They called their theory of oil origin the ‘a-biotic’ theory—non-biological—to distinguish from the Western biological theory of origins.

If they were right, oil supply on earth would be limited only by the amount of organic hydrocarbon constituents present deep in the earth at the time of the earth’s formation. Availability of oil would depend only on technology to drill ultra-deep wells and explore into the earth’s inner regions. They also realized old fields could be revived to continue producing, so called self-replentishing fields. They argued that oil is formed deep in the earth, formed in conditions of very high temperature and very high pressure, like that required for diamonds to form. ‘Oil is a primordial material of deep origin which is transported at high pressure via ‘cold’ eruptive processes into the crust of the earth,’ Porfir’yev stated. His team dismissed the idea that oil is biological residue of plant and animal fossil remains as a hoax designed to perpetuate the myth of limited supply.

Defying conventional geology

That radically different Russian and Ukrainian scientific approach to the discovery of oil allowed the USSR to develop huge gas and oil discoveries in regions previously judged unsuitable, according to Western geological exploration theories, for presence of oil. The new petroleum theory was used in the early 1990’s, well after the dissolution of the USSR, to drill for oil and gas in a region believed for more than forty-five years, to be geologically barren—the Dnieper-Donets Basin in the region between Russia and Ukraine.

Following their a-biotic or non-fossil theory of the deep origins of petroleum, the Russian and Ukrainian petroleum geophysicists and chemists began with a detailed analysis of the tectonic history and geological structure of the crystalline basement of the Dnieper-Donets Basin. After a tectonic and deep structural analysis of the area, they made geophysical and geochemical investigations.

A total of sixty one wells were drilled, of which thirty seven were commercially productive, an extremely impressive exploration success rate of almost sixty percent. The size of the field discovered compared with the North Slope of Alaska. By contrast, US wildcat drilling was considered successful with a ten percent success rate. Nine of ten wells are typically “dry holes.”

That Russian geophysics experience in finding oil and gas was tightly wrapped in the usual Soviet veil of state security during the Cold War era, and went largely unknown to Western geophysicists, who continued to teach fossil origins and, hence, the severe physical limits of petroleum. Slowly it begin to dawn on some strategists in and around the Pentagon well after the 2003 Iraq war, that the Russian geophysicists might be on to something of profound strategic importance.

If Russia had the scientific know-how and Western geology not, Russia possessed a strategic trump card of staggering geopolitical import. It was not surprising that Washington would go about erecting a “wall of steel”—a network of military bases and ballistic anti-missile shields around Russia, to cut her pipeline and port links to western Europe, China and the rest of Eurasia. Halford Mackinder’s worst nightmare–a cooperative convergence of mutual interests of the major states of Eurasia, born of necessity and need for oil to fuel economic growth–was emerging. Ironically, it was the blatant US grab for the vast oil riches of Iraq and, potentially, of Iran, that catalyzed closer cooperation between traditional Eurasian foes, China and Russia, and a growing realization in western Europe that their options too were narrowing.

The Peak King

Peak Oil theory is based on a 1956 paper done by the late Marion King Hubbert, a Texas geologist working for Shell Oil. He argued that oil wells produced in a bell curve manner, and once their “peak” was hit, inevitable decline followed. He predicted the United States oil production would peak in 1970. A modest man, he named the production curve he invented, Hubbert’s Curve, and the peak as Hubbert’s Peak. When US oil output began to decline in around 1970 Hubbert gained a certain fame.

The only problem was, it peaked not because of resource depletion in the US fields. It “peaked” because Shell, Mobil, Texaco and the other partners of Saudi Aramco were flooding the US market with dirt cheap Middle East imports, tariff free, at prices so low California and many Texas domestic producers could not compete and were forced to shut their wells in.

Vietnam success

While the American oil multinationals were busy controlling the easily accessible large fields of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and other areas of cheap, abundant oil during the 1960’s, the Russians were busy testing their alternative theory. They began drilling in a supposedly barren region of Siberia. There they developed eleven major oil fields and one Giant field based on their deep ‘a-biotic’ geological estimates. They drilled into crystalline basement rock and hit black gold of a scale comparable to the Alaska North Slope.

They then went to Vietnam in the 1980s and offered to finance drilling costs to show that their new geological theory worked. The Russian company Petrosov drilled Vietnam’s White Tiger oilfield offshore into basalt rock some 17,000 feet down and extracted 6,000 barrels a day of oil to feed the energy-starved Vietnam economy. In the USSR, a-biotic-trained Russian geologists perfected their knowledge and the USSR emerged as the world’s largest oil producer by the mid-1980’s. Few in the West understood why, or bothered to ask.

Dr. J. F. Kenney is one of the only Western geophysicists who has taught and worked in Russia, studying under Vladilen Krayushkin, who developed the huge Dnieper-Donets Basin. Kenney told me in a recent interview that “alone to have produced the amount of oil to date that (Saudi Arabia’s) Ghawar field has produced would have required a cube of fossilized dinosaur detritus, assuming 100% conversion efficiency, measuring 19 miles deep, wide and high.” In short, an absurdity.

Western geologists do not bother to offer hard scientific proof of fossil origins. They merely assert it as a holy truth. The Russians have produced volumes of scientific papers, most in Russian. The dominant Western journals have no interest in publishing such a revolutionary view. Careers, entire academic professions are at stake after all.

Closing the door

The 2003 arrest of Russian Mikhail Khodorkovsky, of Yukos Oil, took place just before he could sell a dominant stake in Yukos to ExxonMobil after Khodorkovsky had a private meeting with Dick Cheney. Had Exxon got the stake they would have got control of the world’s largest resource of geologists and engineers trained in the a-biotic techniques of deep drilling.

Since 2003 Russian scientific sharing of their knowledge has markedly lessened. Offers in the early 1990’s to share their knowledge with US and other oil geophysicists were met with cold rejection according to American geophysicists involved.

Why then the high-risk war to control Iraq? For a century US and allied Western oil giants have controlled world oil via control of Saudi Arabia or Kuwait or Nigeria. Today, as many giant fields are declining, the companies see the state-controlled oilfields of Iraq and Iran as the largest remaining base of cheap, easy oil. With the huge demand for oil from China and now India, it becomes a geopolitical imperative for the United States to take direct, military control of those Middle East reserves as fast as possible. Vice President Dick Cheney, came to the job from Halliburton Corp., the world’s largest oil geophysical services company. The only potential threat to that US control of oil just happens to lie inside Russia and with the now-state-controlled Russian energy giants. Hmmmm.

According to Kenney the Russian geophysicists used the theories of the brilliant German scientist Alfred Wegener fully 30 years before the Western geologists “discovered” Wegener in the 1960’s. In 1915 Wegener published the seminal text, The Origin of Continents and Oceans, which suggested an original unified landmass or “pangaea” more than 200 million years ago which separated into present Continents by what he called Continental Drift.

Up to the 1960’s supposed US scientists such as Dr Frank Press, White House science advisor referred to Wegener as “lunatic.” Geologists at the end of the 1960’s were forced to eat their words as Wegener offered the only interpretation that allowed them to discover the vast oil resources of the North Sea. Perhaps in some decades Western geologists will rethink their mythology of fossil origins and realize what the Russians have known since the 1950’s. In the meantime Moscow holds a massive energy trump card.

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small “inside” group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.

In the World War [I] a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified their tax returns no one knows.

How many of these war millionaires shouldered a rifle? How many of them dug a trench? How many of them knew what it meant to go hungry in a rat-infested dug-out? How many of them spent sleepless, frightened nights, ducking shells and shrapnel and machine gun bullets? How many of them parried a bayonet thrust of an enemy? How many of them were wounded or killed in battle?

Out of war nations acquire additional territory, if they are victorious. They just take it. This newly acquired territory promptly is exploited by the few – the selfsame few who wrung dollars out of blood in the war. The general public shoulders the bill.

And what is this bill?

This bill renders a horrible accounting. Newly placed gravestones. Mangled bodies. Shattered minds. Broken hearts and homes. Economic instability. Depression and all its attendant miseries. Back-breaking taxation for generations and generations.

For a great many years, as a soldier, I had a suspicion that war was a racket; not until I retired to civil life did I fully realize it. [From General Smedley Butler speaks out.]

———

Iraq War Profits

“It has been a very good war for Big Oil – courtesy of OPEC price hikes. The five oil giants saw profits rise from $34 billion in 2002 to $81 billion in 2004…But this tsunami of black ink was nothing compared to the wave of $120 billion in profits to come in 2006: $15.6 billion for Conoco, $17.1 billion for Chevron and the Mother of All Earnings, Exxon’s $39.5 billion in 2006 on sales of $378 billion.”

“Chevron Oil, where Condoleezza Rice had served as a director, gained a quarter trillion dollars in value…I calculate that the top five oil operators saw their reserves rise in value by over $2.363 trillion.”

There’s likely no better example of how Halliburton/KBR literally burned taxpayers’ dollars than its destruction of $85,000 Mercedes and Volvo trucks when they got flat tires and were abandoned.

James Warren, a convoy truck driver testified to the Government Affairs Committee in July 2004, “KBR didn’t seem to care what happened to its trucks…It was common to torch trucks that we abandoned…even though we all carried chains and could have towed them to be repaired.”

Big oil companies were given an unprecedented strategic role in planning the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Phillip Carroll, head of Fluor Corp, a major contractor hired by the US Department of Defence for Iraq reconstruction, drafted a Pentagon strategy for the development of the Iraqi oil industry in the autumn of 2002, while the UN inspectors were still in Iraq looking for weapons of mass destruction.

Also prior to the invasion, BP tutored British troops in maintaining and running the oil fields which were later seized in southern Iraq. US giant Halliburton, which provides services to corporations for the exploration, development and production of oil and gas, was given the task of repairing and rebuilding the oil infrastructure, accompanying the troops into the oil fields in this capacity.

Other aspects of the ‘corporate invasion of Iraq’ have been given less attention; the speed and intensity with which western corporations were encouraged to enter the reconstruction economy has been largely ignored by the mass media.

The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) quickly delivered around $20 billion in Iraqi reconstruction funds (mainly money generated from Iraqi oil confiscated during the sanctions regime and from oil sold during the occupation) to corporations from the coalition states. It has been estimated that Iraqi companies received just 2 percent of the value of those contracts.

Also largely unreported is the open deployment of private military and private security companies (PMCs and PSCs) which has been on a scale unprecedented in recent history. It is estimated that 30,000 private military and armed security personnel are currently employed by Western PMCs in Iraq.

With UK companies pushed to the fringes of the reconstruction market they have adapted to supporting roles in the corporate invasion and in these areas have played an almost equal role to the US. British companies have been very prominent in the expanding market of PMCs; on average 30% of reconstruction contracts are spent on private security and armed escorts so this is a lucrative business.

UK companies have also been important in facilitating the penetration of Western capital into Iraq; British firms have been key in organising Iraqi ‘reconstruction’ meetings which have successfully accelerated the reconstruction process by providing an arena for businesses to discuss collaborations with Iraqi and coalition government officials.

UK companies have also provided the propaganda, intelligence, knowledge and communications systems to sustain the corporate invasion and enable a smooth transition to a free market economy, allowing western corporations to gain access to formerly nationalised markets.

Top Ten – UK

The following are some of the UK companies which have profited from the occupation:

1. AMEC £500m

2. Aegis Defence Services £246.52m

3. Erinys (private security) £86m

4. Petrel Resources (Anglo-Irish) £56.6m

5. HSBC – £36.88m

6. Cummins UK (Power) £25.8m

7. PB Power – £24.88m

8. Control Risks (Private security) £23.5m

9. MerchantBridge (Financial) £22.07m

10. Global Strategies Group (private security) £15.48m

One could argue that these companies are helping the Iraqi people by rebuilding their infrastructure. This begs the question, however, that if the invasion of Iraq was intended to help its people, then why is it that Western and not Iraqi companies are profiting?

Major profiteers

1. Halliburton

The first name that comes to everyone’s mind here is Halliburton. According to MSN Money, Halliburton’s KBR, Inc. division bilked government agencies to the tune of $17.2 billion in Iraq war-related revenue from 2003-2006 alone. This is estimated to comprise a whopping one-fifth of KBR’s total revenue for the 2006 fiscal year. The massive payoff is said to have financed the construction and maintenance of military bases, oil field repairs, and various infrastructure rebuilding projects across the war-torn nation. This is just the latest in a long string of military/KBR wartime partnerships, thanks in no small part to Dick Cheney’s former role with the parent company.

2. Veritas Capital Fund/DynCorp

At first blush, a private equity fund (and not, say, Exxon-Mobil) being the number 2 profiteer in the Iraq war might sound strange. However, the cleverly run fund has raked in $1.44 billion through its DynCorp subsidiary. The primary service DynCorp has provided to the war efforts is the training of new Iraqi police forces. Often described as a ‘state within a state‘, the sizable company is headed by Dwight M. Williams, former Chief Security Officer of the upstart U.S. Department of Homeland Security. With this and other close ties to defense agencies, Veritas Capital Fund and DynCorp are well-positioned to capitalize on Iraq even more.

3. Washington Group International

The Washington Group International has parlayed its expertise in the repair, restore, and maintenance of high-output oil fields into $931 million in Iraq-related revenue from 2003-2006. The publicly traded 25,000 employee company’s other specialties include the building and maintenance of schools, military bases, and municipal utilities, such as watering systems. Some have complained that Washington Group’s hefty government payoffs have served primarily to raise its trading price on the New York Stock Exchange. One thing is for sure – with oil prices continuing to rise, there will be no shortage of demand for the oil protection services Washington Group International brings to bear.

4. Environmental Chemical

All war zones eventually become cluttered with spent ammunition and broken/abandoned weapons, creating a lucrative niche for any company willing to clean it all up. In Iraq, this duty has fallen into the hands of Environmental Chemical. The privately held California company has stockpiled $878 million by the end of fiscal 2006 for munitions disposal, calling upon its “decade of experience planning and conducting UXO removal, investigation, and certification activities.” The company has close ties to several defense agencies and is staffed by graduates of the U.S. Navy’s Explosive Ordinance Schools, as well as the U.S. Army’s Chemical Schools at Anniston.

5. Aegis

Aegis has done the United Kingdom proud after reeling in a contract to coordinate all of Iraq’s private security operations. The Pentagon contract is good for $430 million (incredibly lucrative by any standard) but it has landed Aegis in some hot public relations water. The company’s decision to contribute to Iraq war efforts has lead to a rejected membership application from the International Peace Operations Association. According to The Independent, the influential trade organization does not consider Aegis worthy of inclusion in the “peace and stability industry.” It remains to be seen whether Aegis will continue to be ostracised for participating in the training of Iraqi security forces.

6. International American Products

Even with all of the blinding innovation and trailblazing advances in military technology, none of it would be very useful without electricity. Running electrical wiring in hostile war zones is dicey business, but International American Products has stuck their neck out and collected a cool $759 million in just 3 years for its efforts. While avoiding enemy fire, their work has become increasingly dangerous – and yet, critically necessary – as Coalition forces struggle rebuild cities, put down warring forces, and stabilize the chaotic nation. Schools, oils wells, and other public infrastructure have relied on IAP for the electricity needed to operate.

7. Erinys

London-based Erinys has so far scored $136 million for its effort in securing Iraq’s precious oil reserves. Riding the coattails of its considerable mining, petroleum, and construction expertise, the company has already made considerable headway toward this critically important goal. In the space of just 16 months, Erinys successfully trained, equipped, and mobilized an all-Iraqi guard force of nearly 20,000 to protect the nation’s oil pipeline from terrorist attack or sabotage. With crude oil prices skyrocketing and no end in sight, Erinys looks to have its hands full for years to come.

8. Fluor

Fluor scored a monster $1.1 billion contract in 2004 to build, service, and manage water/sewage systems in Iraq. The deal is actually a joint venture between Fluor (a 44,800 employee company based on Aliso Viejo) and London’s AMEC, PLC and actually encompasses two separate contracts. The first – worth $600 million – obligates Fluor to build a water distribution infrastructure and cleaning system for Iraq’s major cities. A second $500 million deal will have the lucrative joint venture performing similar tasks in other, less hostile regions of the country.

9. Perini

Perini (controlled by financier Richard Blum) is one of the more controversial companies to have scored big-time Iraq war money. That’s because Blum’s wife, Senator Dianne Feinstein, appears to have used her seat on the Military Construction Appropriations subcomittee to steer the $650 million environmental cleanup deal in his favour. This has lead to outrage and cries for conflict of interest investigations among those in the media, as well as Feinstein’s peers in Congress. Feinstein has also neglected to comment on this potential conflict of interest. This has lead to what Metroactive.com calls an “omission [that] has called her ethical standards into question.”

10. URS Corporation

Another widely disparaged, Blum-controlled company that has profited from Iraq is URS Corporation. Long known as one of the nation’s major defense contractors, San Francisco-based URS has collected $792 million in environmental cleanup fees in Iraq war zones. As with Perini, both Blum and Feinstein have come under intense scrutiny to answer questions about the apparent conflict of interest inherent in Feinstein helping to secure such an exorbitant government contract for her investment banker husband. Both Blum and Feinstein have refused to produce copies of the ethics commitee’s rulings on Perini and URS, leading to considerable suspicion.

[The list is endless, I think ten is enough.]

Anyway, back to the BBC article, swimming with pictures of the Queen all solemn faced, with no less than twenty carefully rehearsed mournful facial expressions.

Chief of the Defence Staff Sir Jock Stirrup told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show there had been only one year since World War II in which a British serviceman did not die on operations somewhere in the world.

I wonder if his mates call him Jockey? Only one year since World War II in which a serviceman didn’t die? Lizzie must be pleased about that. 63 years of forlorn gestures of sorrow could have been completely wasted!

Ah, bless her. At least, in a typically British fashion, she knows how to say thank you:

The conflict in Iraq has dominated the headlines at home, but I am only too aware that whilst many of you have been deployed there, others have been working tirelessly in many other theatres.

Whichever service you belong to, peace-keeping and humanitarian missions – helping to safeguard the innocent and offer them renewed hope for a better life – are as much a part of your duties today as combat operations, whether in the Balkans, Afghanistan, or elsewhere.

Wherever you are, I would like to express my gratitude for your service this year, and I send each and every one of you my good wishes for Christmas and the New Year. [Xmas speech 2004]

The Muslim Council of Britain has published a Remembrance Day report highlighting the contribution of Muslims to the country’s armed force and urging that their sacrifices should be recalled in the day’s ceremonies.

It insists that although many Muslims disagreed with the government’s decision to send soldiers to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq, they nevertheless supported the troops.

I was going to say something. But I’ve totally lost my train of thought after laughing hysterically for the last five minutes. Someone at the Beeb has clearly not lost their sense of humour amidst mind numbing outbursts of the usual preconceived news babble.

Next!

Stuart Gendall, from the legion, said the “terrible images brought into our lounges from Iraq and Afghanistan and the losses there had given people a better understanding of the sacrifices being made.”

Yes Stuart, the images brought into our lounges really do capture the sentiments of a £1,000 a head BP Christmas dinner dance. Yes, the sacrifices being made are out of this world. Poor Stuart. Maybe the clever journalist interviewing him could explain this:

According to poverty.org.uk, The most commonly used threshold of low income is a household income that is 60% or less of the average (median) British household income in that year. In 2007/08, 13½ million people in the UK were living in households below this low-income threshold. This is around a fifth (22%) of the population.

In 2008, BP’s profits were £17 Billion.

According to the Office for National Statistics, 72% of all marketable wealth is owned by 25% of the population.

Yes, we’ve clearly got a better understanding of the sacrifices being made. I wonder which end of the population wealth bracket the average coalition troop ends up in.

Mark Christian told the troops: “Remembrance for me is picking up the gauntlet, it is steeling ourselves for the fight that lies ahead of us for if we do not do that their lives have been given in vain.”

Remembrance for me is the homeless Gulf War veterans wandering aimlessly along London’s streets.
They are our masters, because we let them be our masters.

God bless them.
